Spyker, a Dutch automotive manufacturer, was founded in 1880 by Jacobus and Hendrik-Jan Spijker. The brand focused on hand-built coaches, carriages, cars and airplanes. In 1903, the Spyker 60 HP was released, which made it the first four-wheel drive car with a single engine and four-wheel brakes. In addition, the brand was the first to introduce a six cylinder engine. As an industry pioneer, Spyker quickly gained international attention. With models such as the Spyker 14 and the Spyker C2, it is impossible to argue with the brand’s success. Unfortunately, the brand was defunct in 1926.
